ON THE RETINA

This is an act of sensual minimalism, where formal restraint gives way to lived tenderness. The project aims to depict the inner trace left by events, filtered through memory and sensation.

Drawings, rendered in watercolour and dry pastel, are photographed while still wet. This gesture captures a fragile, transient moment—a state that vanishes once the work dries—striving for balance between asceticism and emotional warmth.

The drawings take shape back in the studio, where I carry the sensation cupped gently in my hands, like a fragile bird, nurturing it through memory into form.
